“How much will it cost?” This question lingers in the minds of every client and customer. It knows no age, no financial or social status, and the answer often makes or breaks a decision. Honestly, I am the same way. Like you, I want value. More “bang for my buck”, if you will. When it comes to quoting my clients, that is always on my mind.
What goes into making a website, anyway?
If you are starting a new website from “scratch”, there are a lot of factors to consider:
- Web hosting
- Color scheme
- Design – for ALL devices
- Strategy & Branding
- Contact information and forms
- Additional functionality (are you wanting it to automate something to save you time and money?)
- Platform (WordPress is my preference, especially for those wanting to blog)
If you are selling or taking payments online:
- PCI compliance
- E-commerce platform
- Payment processor
- Payment gateway
The list goes on, but that is a good place to start.
I won’t post one-size-fits-all prices on my website. I am being very candid here, because that is how I like to do business. I don’t like games. When it comes to the price of developing and designing a website, there are just too many variables to consider. That is what questionnaires are for. I determine, from years of experience, the amount of time it will take to accomplish your vision and goals, and then I give a quote. In that quote, we list what is included, that way everything is clear and in writing. It protects you, me and really frees us to focus on what matters: your goals.
I cannot list here what your website will cost to create or update, but what I can tell you is this: I won’t “sell” you what you don’t need, I stick to my quotes and I work within budgets. I offer free consultations, and only take on so many clients at once so that I can give each and every project the dedication and focus it deserves. Ready? Contact me now and get started.
